No recent documents in start menu even though it is enabled

It will only be there when you open a document or file.

Till yesterday everything was fine but suddenly all my files were removed though when i check the options it is enabled

Just open any word file and see wether its there in the recent documents or not.

Oh well .Problem solved I restored my backup registry files to check what happens and problem solved
