Need help with World of Warcraft

I just got the game the version is 1.0 now when I try to play it on the server (free version) it says wrong version of the game. it asks to update to version 2.4.x I have a 256 kbps connection. and that patch is around 1GB it will take a whole day to download that. I want to know if anyone of you know a server which supports 1.0 version of the game.
