Okay just try this thing first.
Go to Start>>Click on Run>>Type "system32" (without marks).
Post here the path you get in the address bar.
This will also tell the directory in which your OS is installed.

What you mean by multiboot?
Okay when you start your computer, do you see two Windows Vista?
You have taken one wrong step, before installing the Vista in C again, you should have deleted the E partition and recreated it again. This will ensure that there aren't two same Windows installed on your PC.

Just a quick suggestion if it is possible.
♦Backup your Important files.
♦Delete all the partitions.
♦Create the partitions again
♦Install a fresh Win Vista in your C Drive.

And yes, never dare to do experiments with your OS:mad:

Have you tried deleting that in Safe Mode or via DOS (At the booting)?
