Hello, I will tell you how to make a realistic looking bat texture for Cricket 07.
Things you will need:
1. Adobe Photoshop (no other software will be useful) [ I am using Photoshop CS3 Extended]
2. Bat template for the game ( Download it from the attachments from the post)
Lets begin :)
1. Open the bat template in Photoshop and using Quick Selection Tool or Magic Wand Tool select the part of the template where it is written front. do as shown below

2. Once you have selected the part of the template (see screen above) copy it (Ctrl+C) and paste it on a new Layer as shown below

3. Note down these color ID/nos:
Feint Skin color #d9c2b0
Brown color #a47857
4. Once you have noted down the color codes set the Foreground & Background colors as shown in the screenshot above
5. Now select the new Layer and fill it with Feint Skin color (#d9c2b0) so it will look as below

6. Now select Layer 1 and Go to Filter>Render>Fibers and keep the settings as below and click OK

7. You're mostly done do the same thing with the back part on the template and place whatever logos you want or simply keep the bat plain.
Tip: While saving the file make sure that you're saving it as .bmp (OS/2) and OS/2 is a must or the bat will look weird here is what it should look like after completion:

Note: The template I am attaching below is not created by me. It has been created by Burma_Finest (not sure :p) he is a planetcricket member.
