Here is a list of free wares which I would recommend for Windows users.

1. Avast! Antivirus Home Edition = A very good antivirus software and probably the best in the FREE versions. If you don't want to pay for your AV software then get this Its really good :)

2. CCleaner = This software is very good it repairs your registry, cleans up internet cookies etc and it also has startup manager and uninstaller. very good indeed.

Avast! Anti-virus is definitely the best free virus program out there. I currently use it, and it picks up things that Norton Anti-virus would not pick, and you have to pay for that one.
