Default Windows 7 - A short review released by Tutorialistic with ratings

Windows 7 from Microsoft was a big suspense for all the users. After the failure of Windows Vista, Microsoft has really done a hard work in the new operating system to make it a success. There are many reviews for this on internet but here is a short review released by Tutorialistic.net with ratings..

Compatibility

The compatibility for windows 7 is just same as Windows Vista. So all your vista drivers and software’s will work on Windows 7 too. Windows 7 includes all the basic support for devices like media players, hardwares and other devices.

Tutorialistic Rating: 7/10

Performance

Windows 7 is designed differently than Windows Vista in case of performance. The memory function in windows 7 has been improved from Windows Vista that will make your programs run faster than Windows Vista. On notebooks, it will also improve the performance of battery.

Tutorialistic Rating: 8/10

Interface

The interface in Windows 7 is similar to Windows Vista but there are few more animations and fading effects which will make your Windows look more cool. The quick links icons are also converted to small thumbnails. The start menu is designed for better managements of your programs and also comes with a quick search bar.

Tutorialistic Rating: 8.5/10

Security & Protection

Windows 7 comes with extra security than Windows Vista. The User Account Control (UAC) which protects the data from misuse has been improved. The firewall has been designed to protect from hacking attacks and threat attacks which gives a complete protection and security for your data.

Windows Defender in Windows 7 provides you the complete protection against harmful spyware, malware and adware. There is a smart change in the interface also.

Tutorialistic Rating: 9.5/10

File Management

Unlikely than Windows Vista, Windows 7 comes with improved Windows Explorer along with quick file manipulations. The thumbnail previews of the file are introduced in Windows 7.

Tutorialistic Rating: 8/10

Gaming

Gaming in Windows 7 is just like Windows Vista. Though some games which are not supported by Vista will also not work in Windows 7 but still it provides better Direct X performance for the games like FIFA 2009 and NFS Undercover.

A good graphic card and RAM of at least 4 GB may be required for better gaming performance.

Tutorialistic Rating: 7/10

Other Improvements

♦ Windows 7 comes with Windows Media Player 11 with extra media plugins.
♦ Windows 7 comes with Internet Explorer 8 as default Web Browser.
♦ Windows 7 has introduced advanced settings for each file or program to provide complete customization for the user.
♦ Windows 7 also provides touch screen feature which was not present in ♦ Windows Vista.

Not really.
I am using 7 for almost six months with no problems at all.
In fact, XP used to give some problems, but 7 doesn't.
